The project has grown from a study of southern mythology and folklore to include art, books, and merchandise available for purchase. The Serpents of Bienville is a celebration of the Southern Arts community and the people that carry on the tradition of creativity. New Webstore and more

The Serpents of Bienville is an every growing project that we have been fortunate enough to get to take part in with you guys.  We have different projects pushing in different directions, but all coming back to a central theme of preserving Southern Storytelling.  This year we opened an art gallery, museum, and retail space.  We have been having a great time visiting and learning from everyone that has come by the space, and we are inspired by each of you.  We also have a lot of projects in the works, covering all kinds of media.  We have a five episode podcast series that we hope to have available in the fall, featuring all original scores and music.  We are also working on a documentary series, featuring short films based on history and stories, from the bogs of the delta to the indian mound islands dotting the shoreline.  We are also working on a publication series, accompanied with music, hopefully to be available also by the end of the year.

We have been lucky enough to work with our city and are currently organizing events to help unify the community.  We aim to utilize art, music, and story telling to help educate and inspire out community to continue to grow in a positive direction.

We have been so grateful for the support we have received from all of you, and are continued to be inspired to do more.  At this point, we are utilizing the webstore to be able to fund all of these projects.  In the webstore you can find all kinds of work we've created for you, all based in local storytelling.  From prints of vintage maps, to photography, to photo manipulations, to hand stippled illustrations, we try our hardest to bring you honest creations inspired by where we live.  We also have new shirts, buttons, postcards and more, all now available.
